Problem: Sewer stoppage in Condominiums
Location: Pembroke Pines, Florida – Broward County

 

Call from local condo association regarding a complete stoppage in their sewer system.. We were hired to replaced or repair the damaged sewer pipe. A pipe lining crew was sent out to perform a sewer line inspection with video cameras. Our plumber located the problem; a large blockage from invading tree roots. After estimating the job and preparing the materials, we cleaned the damaged pipe and removed all root growth. We then measured and cut the pipe liner material to specifications. We then mixed the resin and epoxy and mixed it with the liner. We used the inversion process to insert the liner into the pipe and then applied the appropriate air pressure. This allows the liner to bond to the original pipe and the resin will cure the liner. This process takes 3 hours to cure. We then performed a post video inspection before putting the pipe in service again. This same procedure is used in many upstream and downstream residential and commercial work sites.
