Problem: Apartment residents complaining about low water pressure.
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida - Pinellas County

Low water pressure is one of the biggest signs of deterorating pipes here in Florida which is what a St. Petersburg apartment manager found out. We were called out after months of complaints from apartments residents about low water pressure and dirt in shower and sink water. Our master plumber performed a full inspection of the main water lines using CCTV video inspection to check for a possible underground pipe break or crack. Our plumber found not only 4 cracks, but also a large part of the pipe was blocked due to a large tree root growing through the metal pipe. The apartment manager had to decide whether to tear up a very large part of the main street entrance and lease office or go with CIPP Cured In Place Pipe which would require no digging and cost less than pipe replacement. Needless to say the apartment manager chose to go with the no dig method that we specialize in. The installation started the next day with a full jetting and cleaning of the water line, this removed debris, roots and cracked pipe. After cleaning was performed and inspected the pipe liner / epoxy resin was installed into the water pipe and left to cure for 3 hours. After the curing we checked the pipe again to confirm complete coverage and the water was turned back on.
